Waco: The Rules of Engagement
(1997)(No MPAA rating: adult subject matter)
Washington Weekend / Opening
By Gary Arnold
A muckraking documentary feature about the tragic
and controversial events surrounding the siege of the Branch Davidian cult settlement
outside Waco, Texas in 1993. A prolonged standoff suddenly erupted in catastrophe,
killing 76 members of the sect and a quartet of federal agents. This reconstruction,
highly critical of the government's intervention and subsequent rationalizations,
was compiled by William Gazecki, Dan and Amy Sommer, and Mike McNulty. A limited
engagement, exclusively at the Key. Not reviewed.
