FREEH DECLINED TO PARTICIPATE IN WACO
TALK
The Human Rights Watch Festival continues in
New York City. indieWIRE reported that FBI Director Louis Freeh had been
invited to participate in a panel discussion on the indie documentary
WACO: THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT which examines the events that occurred
in an around Waco, Texas in 1993, leading to the deaths of 80 people.
Director Freeh was said to be 'mulling it over'. Heather Harding of the
Human Rights Watch Festival informs indieWIRE that the festival organizers
did not hear from Mr. Freeh's office until one hour before the discussion
began, at which time, she said, they received "a terse no."
